STEM Family Learning Day with Electronic Bug Maze at Nanhe Elementary School

On April 12, 2025, Nanhe Elementary School hosted an interactive STEM family learning day featuring electronic bug maze activities. Parents and children worked together to design and navigate programmable electronic "bugs" through creative mazes they constructed using everyday materials. Families learned basic coding concepts while solving challenges that combined engineering, technology, and spatial reasoning. The engaging hands-on activities demonstrated how circuitry and programming principles could be taught through playful exploration. Participants enthusiastically tested different maze designs, discovering how small changes affected their bugs' movements. This innovative approach successfully made technology concepts accessible while strengthening family bonds through collaborative problem-solving.
